Linda and Larry Cammarata have been performing music together over the past 18 years. Concert locations include: San Diego, CA, Davis, CA, Boulder, CO, Tucson, AZ, and Asheville, NC. Their music has been featured at universities in CA, national conferences, sacred ceremonies, and Deepak Chopra’s retreats and events. They both have produced CDs. Strings of Lumina create healing sounds that touch the body, mind, and spirit.
Billy Zanski, owner of world music store Skinny Beats in downtown Asheville has been studying percussion for 17 years. After traveling to Guinea West Africa to learn from master djembefola Bolokada Conde, Billy moved to Asheville and began teaching percussion and importing world instruments to sell in his shop. In the past 5 years Billy has been working with sound healing instruments and now weaves that aspect into his own style of music.
Daniel Barber, well known in Asheville for leading the Jubilee! Community World Beat Band, Daniel also led a lively wedding/event band for 11 years, created soundtracks on the fly for an improvisational theatre company, played with African and Brazilian drum/dance groups, and has offered his emotionally rich musical sensibilities to many modern and indigenous ceremonies and rituals for over a decade.
