The newly formed Asheville Woodwind Quintet contains five of the top woodwind players in the region combined into a single and unified sound. 

Steve Loew, clarinet, is a regular performer with AmiciMusic, who spent many years with the U.S. Marine Band (President's Own) and performed for five Presidents. He is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music and has also played with the New York Philarmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with such artists as Marvin Hamlisch, Doc Severinsen, and Johnny Mathis. 

Carlton Alexander, oboe, is the former Assistant Principal Oboe for the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Oboe with the Denver Pops Orchestra. 

Hobart Whitman, French Horn, played with the Atlanta Symphony, and is the Principal with the Blue Ridge Philharmonic as well as former solo horn with with the Asheville Symphony and Brevard Philharmonic, Hobart is also the co-founder of the Appalachian Brass Quintet and the former Choir Director and Organist of the Arden Presbyterian Church.

 Leslie Reim Zarnowski, Bassoon, has a bachelor of Music Degree from UNC Greensboro and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Carolina University. She has taught music k-12 in Western North Carolina for over 22 years. 

Bradford Malbon, flute, is the Principal Flutist with the Blue Ridge Philharmonic. Bradford studied flute at William and Mary College in Virginia and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Bradford is currently a flute maker in Asheville and has worked as a flute maker with Haines Company in Boston.
