Pan Harmonia has presented a series of Sonata concerts here at White Horse and we are really excited about this one.

Experience the rich interplay of flute and harp weaving evocative tapestries of sound that span 18th century salons to contemporary cityscapes within the intimacy of a chamber music setting.

Flutist Kate Steinbeck is joined by renowned harpist Jacquelyn Bartlett for an evening of duets. The program will feature Joseph Jongen’s Danse Lente and sonatas for flute and harp by American composer Lowell Lieberman, opera master Gaetano Donizetti and Roumania’s Carmen Petra-Basacopol.

Pan Harmonia, under the direction of Steinbeck, is an independent repertory company based in Asheville, now in their 15th season. The chamber music collective has gained national recognition for its creative programing and artistry and regularly appears as a favorite classical music group in the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC polls.

The Sonata Series has been partially supported by a grant from the NC Arts Council.
