Our Cabaret Jazz Series Continues With

Her vocal stylings are born from a homogenous fusion of Mississippi Blues and Traditional Jazz. The sultry of mauve and indigo meets the pink of Flamingos flying to places near and far. Close your eyes and experience Tenya...

Tenya Colemon is a pure-toned vocalist, whose sound and style harken back to the likes of Sarah Vaughan and Carmen McRae. Tenya is a two-time Regional Artist Grant Recipient and has been featured on numerous digital and social media platforms such as the 'Voices From The Community - Spotlight Artist Podcast Series' and the 'ASC's A Vibrant Cultural Life Blog'.

Tenya has had the distinct honor to grace the stage with award winning jazz greats such as pianist Cyrus Chestnut and has opened for saxophonist Donald Harrison. Tenya has also toured with the renowned Jim Martinez Quartet.

Ms. Colemon displayed elegance & grace much beyond her years and her music selections were very much on point and an asset to our event. Her vocal accomplishments are evident from the first note. We cannot wait to host another event to have her back! A rising jazz star!
