American Smile,” without a doubt, is one of the loveliest songs of the year. It’s rich and strong, yet tender and translucent; dynamic and proximate, yet warm and elegant in texture and tone. "
-The Huffington Post

"A deliberate instrumentation creates a unique sound for the single. Hints of 1970s rock and alternative music represent the major elements of this track, but the song is surprisingly deep"
-NeuFutur Magazine

"Amongst the millions of souls wandering the streets of New York City, Anana Kaye and Irakli Gabriel somehow managed to find one another to create a mesmerizing duo that not only creates stunning music, but also visual art."
-Vents Magazine

" Their new EP, Sentient, is a brilliant showcase of Anana’s soulful, husky voice and heartfelt delivery matched up Irakli’s left-of-center approach to the guitar."

" “Marie” presents the lush confluence of post-rock and ambient nuances shrouding their beautiful singer-songwriter intentions. "

(A native of Republic of Georgia), Anana Kaye started performing in the US upon her move to New York in the spring of 2014 and quickly earned accolades from listeners and fellow musicians for her soulful, husky voice and heartfelt delivery of songs. Prior to her move to the US, she was singing in various bands in Georgia. She has performed live on national radio and TV.

Irakli Gabriel, sometimes also referred to as “Dr. Duende”, has been a presence on NYC music scene for the last decade. He has played and recorded in several bands, notably as a member of acclaimed singer-songwriter Freddie Stevenson’s project “Midnight Crisis”, with whom he has also co-written over a dozen songs. His other collaborations include Julia Haltigan, Jacque Ryal, Emily Zuzik, Deni Bonet and an LA based band Diana. His happiest music moment is writing with one of his all-time musical heroes, the legendary Mike Scott, and joining his band the Waterboys on stage in 2012 and playing encores with them.

Anana and Irakli released "Sentient", their debut EP of original material in 2016 to critical and public acclaim and were featured on various publications. The EP was at the Bunker Studio with Aaron Nevezie (JoJo Mayer's the Nerve). The recordings feature Anana on vocals, piano and keyboards, Irakli on guitars and keyboards, John Davis on bass, Robbie Sinclair and Dave Burnett on drums.

Each song on the EP is accompanied by a music video, which they also directed, filmed and edited themselves. Videos were in rotation on a number music TV channels across the US.

Apart from writing, gigging and recording, Anana and Irakli work on videography and music videos for fellow musicians and artists Through their visual production company "duende vision". Currently, they live in Nashville, TN together with their Coton de Tulear, Giuna. They are gearing up to release a follow up record to "Sentient" early in 2019.
