 A Crow Tribal member and son of an Air Force Officer, Morin was born in Billings, MT. He spent the bulk of his youth in Great Falls, MT where he cut his teeth picking guitar standards at neighbor get togethers, before relocating to north Colorado. Cary has won numerous awards for his work, particularly for his 2017 release "Cradle to Grave", a 2018 Native Arts and Culture Fellowship, a 2017n First People's Fund Artist in Business Leaders Fellowship, the 2017 Indigenous Awards for Best Blues CD (Cradle to Grave), 2015 Indigenous Music Awards Nominee for Best Folk Album (Tiny Town), 20154 Indigenous Music Awards Nominee for Best Aboriginal Entertainer of the Year, 2013 & 2014 Blue Challenge Solo Championship, 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fort Collins Music Association. 

In addition to his solo pursuits, Cary collaborates with musician across the globe.
