Tracey Schmidt returns to White Horse Black Mountain, one of her favorite local venues, to perform by memory, the work of Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, and her own work. Her first book of poetry, I Have Fallen in Love with the World, will be available, as will her CD. Her poetry has been published in Field of Dreams Poetry Anthology, Western NC Woman, Mountain Express, Sheville, Sunburst Anthology of Women Writers, SOL Poetry Anthology, and numerous other publications. She recently produced a music/poetry CD (Returning Home) with world-class musicians Mariam Matossian and River Guerguerian, recording the work of Rumi, Hafiz, Yeats and her own poetry. She continues to perform her work in the southeast and abroad with world class musicians.

Tracey Schmidt is a nationally touring poet who makes her home in the gray blue mountains of Asheville. She performs by memory her own work as well as mystical poets of several traditions.

Isabel Castellvi plays cello with the Asheville Symphony, and regularly tours around the country. She plays improv and classical music with equal expertise.

Naghmeh Farahmand is from Canada and is here as a teacher for the Asheville Percussion Festival. She has been voted one of the favorite teachers there several years running. She plays dad, a Sufi drum for meditation, and several other drums. She regularly tours with the baroque ensemble from Germany The Tallis Scholars, and with other other groups worldwide.
